Hidden beneath the streets of Westminster is a secret world that played a pivotal role in the defence of Great Britain during World War II as Churchill and his inner circle plotted the route to Allied victory.

Your self-guided tour starts with a short introductory film, preparing you for the immersive and extraordinary glimpse into Churchill’s historic underground bunker that lies ahead of you. Within the price of this tour, audio guides are available.

When ready, you will walk in the footsteps of Churchill along a maze of winding corridors that acted as Governments’ inner sanctum and home to an elite group of workers during the tense days and nights of War.  Housing the Cabinet War Room, offices, general facilities, Churchill’s bedroom and the Map Room, which has remained exactly as it was left on the day the lights were switched off in 1945, this tour uncovers stories and secrets that would have been impossible 80 years ago.

Discover the tiny Transatlantic Telephone Room, disguised as a private toilet, where Churchill used to speak in secret to the President of the United States – an example of the cutting-edge technology of the day.

As part of the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, a tour of The War Rooms will remind you of the precarious situation Great Britain found itself in during World War II and underlines the grit and tenacity that helped a nation defeat its fierce opponent.

After your visit we will make our way to Planet Hollywood for a 2 course Fish & Chip Lunch with a drink included.

You will then have some free time in and around the West End before we head home.
