Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
Join us on a day trip to the Leicestershire countryside – Melton Mowbray, home of the famous ‘pork pie’. This visit will coincide with the Farmers Market, which is one of the Country’s oldest and finest markets and also the Antiques Fair.
Melton Farmers have developed a reputation for quality meats and produce from their field to fork. Market Traders give an opportunity for local producers to sell fresh quality produce to local consumers. This produce includes the famous ‘pork pies’, cheeses, meats, fish and many others including some food and drink stalls for you to grab a spot of lunch.
Antiques Fair has been building up from its small creation to what now must be the central buying and selling arena in Melton on Tuesdays with great atmosphere and enthusiasm. Amongst many other artefact’s you will find silver, brass, copper, glass, jewellery, postcards, small and medium sized furniture, cigarette cards, china, ceramics, tea services, and novelties.
